Scott Pleasants is a seasoned technology visionary with experience in commercializing and growing successful products, brands and teams. Because he works best at a cruising altitude of 100,000 feet, Scott has an eye for seeing things not as they are, but rather what they can become.
As leader, Scott has an in-depth understanding of how business and technology can drive innovation. Seeing people as a catalyst for digital transformation, he knows how the right people help organizations achieve their potential. Because he knows the value of a talented team, and nearly everyone one the planet mind you, Scott has become of one of the most sought-after leaders for innovation and creative technology initiatives and start-ups.
He is currently the Chief Information Officer for TRBC where he is responsible for aligning technology services and business logistics supporting the organizations global initiatives.
Before being named CIO in June 2016, Scott was the Director of Engineering Technology for the Liberty University School of Engineering. He was responsible for all of the technology initiatives and operations, including management of classroom innovation, corporate and strategic relations, public relations and services supporting the new academic programs. He also spearheaded continued development of strategic corporate and supplier relationships, as well as establishing Liberty as a leader in Engineering.
Scott is active in many entrepreneurial ventures, including serving on the Board of Directors for Innovate Lynchburg, the NASA REaKTOR Business Innovation Center and serves on the Fulbright Committee at Liberty University.
In his free time, Scott loves traveling, spending time outdoor time with his family and is an avid reader. He has an amazing daughter and is married to his college sweetheart.
Scott earned a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University.
