Developing Disciples

Lance Witt shares on the customized care of making disciples. In order to succeed as Pastors we need to be coaches not quarterbacks. Not making the plays but developing the players who will in turn make greater plays.

Quarterbacks make great plays, coaches make great players

A great description of discipleship is found in I Thessalonians 2 (NIV) This passages is all about relationships. “Encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into His kingdom and glory.”

How are you doing at developing others? Are you on their agenda or yours? Which individuals are you encouraging, comforting or urging to live lives worthy of God.
